Wow. There was just zero reason for him to say anything. Nobody is accusing Fortnite of being unsafe for kids. And he chose to say that. For himself.

How’d you feel after? Ours in PGH had a low turnout but I always feel better after going. Less alone.

Extremely common. I got into this unfortunate habit of hitting post and then editing typos afterward, and I think it increased the amount I do it by a lot.

Soup party sounds awesome.

I'm waiting on laundry, then I'm going to go to the gym, then I'm going to make mushroom stroganoff. Yesterday I managed to read 3 whole pages of Monday's reading assignment, so hopefully today I can beat that.

My dad is still working on accepting that I'm not going to be able to work an enjoyable job in my life lol.

The AI doesn't understand anything in any language. It's just putting words in order by their association.

standard American big weekly trip + a few small trips, like a single bunch of spinach or a single carton of oat milk. American products are portioned to be family sized, so you've got a few days worth when you buy something.

It's just part of our mating dance. It feels good and gets us in the mood.

https://www.nbcwashington.com/news/local/maryland-mother-who-says-shes-a-u-s-citizen-is-released-from-25-days-in-ice-custody/4039780/

"He said attorneys submitted her birth certificate and other documentation that they say proved she’s a U.S. citizen. But it still wasn’t enough to get her released from ICE custody."

"In my years now of being an immigration attorney, I have never had to go this far for a case. What we were finally able to get and what we worked on getting was a lengthy affidavit from a medical professional, a doctor who described why the birth certificate was authentic,” Pérez said.

"Her attorneys say she remains under ICE supervision. They said the Department of Homeland Security continues to challenge in federal court the claim that she is a U.S. citizen and she still faces the threat of deportation."

Horrifying but lines up with what happened in Chicago. They only care about what their internal data says, not facts.

Voicemail at 4 PM Sunday: Someone dropped out. We have a spot for you off of the waitlist for tomorrow morning, but you'll need to respond very quickly.

Text message 3 minutes later: Yes, as long as [contingency] is ok, I'd be happy to be there tomorrow.

[No response]

Email 15 minutes later: Hey, I sent a text message, but I'm also sending a follow up email letting you know I'd like to come as long as [contingency] is ok.

[No response]

Update: I am good to go. The phone # I texted did not receive texts, so this is a lesson learned to call back when someone leaves a voicemail. Thanks everyone.
