I have tested the AppImage. After the installation it informs that the face image database is outdated and suggest updating it. This will fail, because the old models get removed for the newer. It will crash. Therefore, after the first start cancel this database update, download the models, restart the app, and it will just work.

Tip. Exchange the HDD for an SSD in old devices uns the real fun never ends.

#Kate is great. We at #RKWard are happy to have it as foundation. Thomas officially published RKWard around 2002. Keep up the good work.

"This Week in KDE Apps" brings improvements to Haruna, Kate and KMyMoney (among many others); and a whole new app: Karp, a tool for visually arranging and editing PDF documents. in c/kde@lemmy.kde.social
