Actually sounds kinda interesting. I like the idea of my actions doing workouts effecting something like this.
Maybe more than just pokemon, maybe include some older Tamagotchi styled pets.
I turned my rings into a game for myself to close them out and get my health better and heal my heart. Worked well, once I had set my own rules. So, anything to make working out more engaging or fun for those who do not like doing it is great.

But yeah, it was migrated well to the ipad. I still pretty much only use it on my iphone, but I see the merit.
Go into the settings and turn off the Autostart or Autodetect. Forget exactly where, did it so long ago. Drove me nuts as well, as I use a scooter from the garage I park my car at to work (and back). Just short of a mile.
