What can I do to prevent this in the future?
If you are on a personal connection, like at home, you can run an anti-virus scan on your device to make sure it is not infected with malware.
If you are at an office or shared network, you can ask the network administrator to run a scan across the network looking for misconfigured or infected devices.

I was trying for the joke of someone taking a picture of a screenshot or a cell video of a security camera feed.. guess it didn't land. 🤷
How will it detect taking a picture with another phone? If they're both steady, aligned reasonably well, and the resolution is good enough it's the same thing. And who doesn't have an extra phone laying around?
Not going to Twitter, post a screenshot or something.
The app in the first link is pretty old, just so anyone knows. If there have been vulnerabilities in the last 6 years this may not have addressed them.
These "people" don't even understand what they don't understand and most aren't capable of doing so. Why do we pander to them?
