Worse than the duct tape to the cieling is the old school LCD from before they were acceptable for gaming.

Forget colour. That generation iMac was incredibly repairable compared to today's Apple stuff. Two screws on the back panel and the whole internal tray slides out. Every major component's immediately accessible. And all repair parts were available.

Yep, there used to be truth to it, and there still is work to do, but a lot has changed in the last decade or so.

All major parties are in on this. I expect it's really about getting the internet ID technology out there so it can be forced elsewhere. This needs to be fought just because of that.

Blocking porn from the reputable sites (ie, the ones most likely to follow this law) is already trivial. Just search for the Rating: header and look for an RTA string. Parental control software already does this.

The real solution is to mandate device manufacturers support this mechanism. Support, not force upon everybody.

The only right way to slam down the phone requires an old phone with actual bells for the ringer. You know you did it right then the bells ding at you.

I set up FreeIPA at home. Similar in principle to AD.

The USA should just do what many other countries do: universal compulsary military service for a time during early adulthood. That'd meet the mandate.

Wait, physics you don't understand, or she doesn't understand.

Doing physics she doesn't understand is a lot more interesting ;)

Does it matter? OP had an itch. He scratched it, and shared it with the world.

The reason could be "I wonder if I can?". That's good enough.
