their low information on the issues that should matter to them

While I do agree with you in general, I don't think lack of information is much of a factor. Anybody with an internet connection has access to a fucking fantastic amount of information, but here we are – I think the problem's everywhere else than lack of access

I remember hearing that when he was prez, and it really does ring true.

Guess there's a nontrivial amount of cognitive dissonance there too, and more than a dash of "I don't care what the truth is, this is Our Guy and I'll sing his praises"

Is there something like the Litany Against Fear but for memes?

I will face this meme.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the meme has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

I had to see it, so y'all have to see it too.

May the gods have mercy on your minds.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, but I think it's just beyond incredible that conservatives think Trump sounds intelligent

Like many other states, Massachusetts offers tax credits for film and television productions that film in the state. In particular, Massachusetts offers credits worth 25 percent of a production's expenses and payroll tax liability incurred in the Bay State. If the credits exceed the production's Massachusetts tax liability, they can claim 90 percent of the remainder as a refund.

All in all the article was a bit of a hit piece against these tax credits in both MA and other states. Could be completely on point for all I know though, no clue if they're representing the facts accurately or not

It really doesn't seem to even occur to a lot of people that there are different ways to do this stuff

I think it's pretty fucked up that harsh language and sexuality are seen as being in the same category as bloody violence

There's that joke about how you can filter out right-wing extremists on dating services by filtering out everyone who has their political views as "moderate".

But yeah, like another commenter said, they seriously think they're in the majority – they're so stupid that they literally can't understand most people don't think like them

Yeah there were so many condemnations of the idea that brought up "but they'd maximize worker welfare!" like it's a bad thing
