Probably the only downside with this is the fact that it can take quite some time for the call to actually connect
I mean, in the context of anonymity that is very good due to it's design, but maybe not perfect for this usecase

I know enough people that hate Material Design 3, or even just the Monet component, so I'll leave that for everyone to decide for themselves.
My copy of Breezy Weather has Precipation Notifications ๐ค
Generally, the best you can do is search.

SearXNG was useful once more, and I expected Sony devices to support VoLTE anyways as they've been doing that for years.
well, not if you want a UI that's designed around threads like Lemmy or Kbin does ๐ค
FWIW, Voyager has a Material-Design inspired alternative look that can be enabled in the settings.
I'm curious about all the people in this thread saying regarding phone numbers considering I do have an account that's just an email alias and thats it ๐ค
you can fit hail to do that, as apps are unaccessible without going through Hail, and Hail has an option to lock it behind pattern/fingerprint ๐ค
Hypixel is fucking massive and finances this purely of off cosmetics for the most part, with Hypixel having developed their own custom server-side anticheat solution
Oh, they also don't use neural networks for this.
iMessage can also run over e-mail.
And RCS was designed by the GSMA which is effectively a bunch if telecommunications companies.
Well for one, iMessage runs over the internet and Apple isn't a telecom company (Verizon, etc)
Either way, the TL;DR is that either there must be a backdoor or something else to allow law enforcement to access communications that run over telecom companies. This doesn't apply when a user does it, but definitely when telecom companies design a messaging protocol.
discord and messenger are pretty bad when it comes to privacy, neither even bother end-to-end-encrypting calls.
Signal really is the best choice, but due to the phone number registration requirement, unless you're fine with the one-time purchase of some prepaid SIMs or something, that might get a bit annoying.
SimpleX is decent enough with calls for now (when they work), but connection times can be abysmal
This is where I would jump to Matrix / Element, but Element is currently in the middle of re-making their mobile Apps, including the entire calling feature ๐ฅด
