That's not exactly how things be.

If means of production were all owned by workers, then that means they are operating them for their own benefit and the benefit of their communities. Why? The profit motive is not quite as strong. You are no longer needing to amass wealth to live a happy life. Because those who control the local farms are part of the community. Those who control local factories are workers that are part of the community. Each of those operates the means of production to fulfill their own needs, and their community

I think hyper-fixating on title irrespective of content is silly.

As much as I hate that it is in Reddit hands, I feel like there's a lot of valuable information on there that I would not want lost.

I'd much rather we prep end every comment with something like:

"I am moving to lemmy, and have set this comment to auto-delete in 4 weeks" of something like that. Or maybe remove the auto delete portion, but at least you'd be giving visibility to lemmy.

Is r/memes any better? Same boomer memes. I'd argue here you find good stuff a bit more often at least.

Laptops these days do much better with Linux than before. But if you really want ~0% chance of dealing with driver issues, I'd go with System76 laptops. They're made for Linux, and with Linux pre-installed.
