A worrying number of my colleagues use AI blindly. Like the kind where you just press tab and not even look. Those who look spend a second before moving on.

They call me anti-AI, even though I've used chatGPT since day 1. Those LLMs are great tools, but I am just paranoid to use it in that manner. I rather it explain to me how to do the thing instead of doing the thing (at which it is even better).

EDIT: Typo

EDIT: Looks like I'm wrong, Fennec is still maintained. Seems the difference is that Mull is more strict about privacy, which means more sites may not work.

Original comment:

I forget what it was, but I think Mull is the "better" Firefox flavor right now. Maybe Fennec is no longer maintained? Idk. Maybe it'll come up if you search it.

Cromite is different. It's based on chromium instead of Firefox. Mull (and maybe Fennec?) probably has better privacy overall. There's a comparison page somewhere out there.

There's 4ft.io too. Oh nvm looks like it's gone.

I'll tell you my approach and you can use it for inspiration, but keep in mind everyone is different.

I deleted the Reddit app, but still use Reddit sometimes through the browser. This caused me to use Reddit far less, and primarily use lemmy unless what I need is not found on lemmy.

Sometimes what I need is info from a specific community like you mentioned. For example, I am Arab, and there's very few Arabs on lemmy.

In your case, Reddit might be less rare than me. It might be more practical for you to use both apps, or maybe just not use lemmy at all. It all depends on your priorities and what you're looking for.

Never heard of unifiedPush, but looks great. Is it becoming standard for self hosted push notifications? I need to take control of my own notifications...

The issue isn't the presence of a subway system, but rather the need for more funding, care and attention.

One last comment, pointing out biases in Reuters does not mean I ignore them. Every source is biased one way or another, and I still read them (refer to the very post you're commenting on), albeit with skepticism, carefully scanning for the facts and evidence.

It looks like the article was updated since I last read it, with the headline changed and a lot more information added, so maybe my claim is not true anymore. But I will tell you what bothered me about it initially anyways.

"whoever did it, it must be clear: That this was not an attack on the Lebanese state."

"Whoever did this did a surgical strike against the Hamas leadership," Regev said in the interview.

Those lines are heavily speculative commententary rather than "facts", aiming to downplay how much of an escalation this is. Those lines are found very high up in the 5th paragraph. It's the first commentary after saying that Israel refused to comment, and originally there was much less details presented.

Moreover, the article's headline (now changed) was something along the lines of "deputy Hamas chief killed in Beirut by blast". This verbiage has now been changed to "Israeli drone kills deputy Hamas chief", which is much better. The original is downplaying Israel's role.

They don't have to go that far. They can target Israel in occupied Akka (the occupiers call it Acre).

The article is full of speculation, opinions and commentary instead of merely presenting facts.
