I think katie porter made a political mistake running for senate. I think she was just short of a lock in her district if she ran for it again but I don't think she appeals statewide against another democrat. she was super effective in house oversight and we're going to lose that and possibly her seat as well.

there are some (not here I don't think) lamenting that porter isn't going to be in the senate and think california would be making a mistake if (as it appears right now) adam schiff is going to get it.

this is one of those things that are fairly obvious if you thought about it for a while even if there was no evidence to prove it. because, sure he is deferential to autocrat strongmen but it was to a different scale with putin.

these things are gaudy, garish, and look super cheap.

who exactly are these things for? I'm sure there are a few magat sneakerheads but not enough to bring even a niche product to market.

I do know even at $400 a pop not enough are going to move to put a dent in that almost half billion in judgements he owes in new york.

I listen to podcasts more than I watch tv. why podcasts? because I don't listen to music radio and the talk stations are either right wing syndicated crap or right wing owned crap, otherwise I'm listening to radio.

chances that a liberal radio infrastructure develops in the company: zer0.

a liberal radio network can work in this country, but it has to be run by actual radio people. air america radio was not run by radio people.

his base which is a very loud minority of the people aka not the person who win you elections. tell the low information voter in september and october that trump owes $88 million to one person for sexually assaulting her and lying about it and $450 million for cheating on his taxes and lying to get bank loans and don't be shocked if one of the red wall states flips in november.

it says a lot about the political coverage in the media and half of the voting population, but I'm not sure it says something about all of us. some of which were raising alarms and flags for 50 years (I'm not that old but I know people that were) and were ignored. sometimes intentionally.

from what I have read, this $450 million fine must come from assets, and not campaign funds.

I don't know about the e jean money, but for this he's going to have to eat himself.

and just remember, the republican national committee currently has $8 million in the bank in an election year, that the new leadership promises will 100% go to elect trump. the money that's leftover from paying his legal bills that is.

liquidator brunt approves.

but will they really? one, I can see A. LOT. more massive fines being applied here. he owes nearly a half BILLION in fines and penalties now.

two, he's no longer nominally in charge. if the monitor says assets need to be sold assets are getting sold.

and three, being banned by new york from being on or running/owning any corporation is not an insignificant matter. in fact, it would say quite a bit if a company did associate with them after the penalty has expired. "junior and eric trump defrauded new york out of millions of dollars five years ago. you want to hire them on? what if they do that to us?". were this in a state like wyoming or north dakota where no one lives and no one really cares it would be one thing. but this is in probably the financial capital of country, if not the world. being banned from doing business in a place where business is constantly happening is bad, and people will remember that.

this is a state court decision. unless there is a federal issue to base an appeal on, scotus can't save him.

so that's nearly a HALF BILLION DOLLARS in fines owed to multiple entities by the (alleged) billionaire who is also the leading candidate to one political party.

now would be a real good time for that party to remove themselves from trump. because if they stay hitched to that wagon, they ain't winning shit. but the hilarious thing is that if they get behind haley right now they'll have an even shot at winning but she's so unappealing to the base they'll never do it.

it's great. 🤣😆🤣😆
