I just deleted the reddit app today, apparently not a minute too early.
This attitude is exactly the problem. The current situation is new and unprecedented. Not seeing the difference is the type of ignorance that allowed this to happen in the first place.
Das ist wirklich irre, ich muss mich damit unbedingt mal näher auseinandersetzen.
You can't really. It's that moment when you realize you never "owned" the subreddit in the first place, all your work belonged to reddit.
Just for anyone who still holds out hope: NATO as we have known it is over. The US won't come to the defense of the other members if they are attacked. It's time to move on.
I strongly disagree. They are actually very dumb and there is no grand strategy at play here. While everyone tries to understand the sense behind the erratic decisions, there really is not much to understand at all. It's as simple as "we don't want to spend money on European defense anymore", so all activities related to that are stopped, without any regard to the consequences.
I hate to break it to you, but people in the US are probably just weeks away from being brutalized and thrown into jail at the behest of the Trump administration for any or no reason whatsoever. Things are moving much faster than anyone would have thought possible and violence, real physical violence is an unavoidable property of any fascist regime.
Not supported by my banks yet, but here's hoping.
Obviously climate science will be just straight up stopped.
I've reduced my Amazon usage over the last years to almost zero. There are so many better specialized shops available, it's not even a competition.
I never followed any competitive sports, always found them quite boring. Add to it the insane levels of corruption and abuse prevalent in commercial sports and I find it hard to understand how people can even enjoy them.
