Honestly, it always goes back to the seven deadly sins. In this case, I'd say greed and gluttony are most relevant.

The critical difference is whether the DM says it with a frown or a grin.

I recommend checking out vdo.ninja. You can set up pretty much any arrangement of screen and camera sharing you need and package it into a single invite link.

Stop paying, same as any other boycott? I've done this thought experiment before, and while I think tenant unions are possible (and very much needed), they definitely aren't as simple to implement as labor unions.

To start, people would need to live more minimalistically so that "just moving out" can at least be a (last resort) tool in the union's toolbox. This makes tenant unions antithetical to consumerism, a quality not shared by labor unions.

To really thrive, tenant unions would also require people to actively know and interact a lot more with their neighbors, again fighting the trend of increasing social isolation and complacency caused largely by corporate (read: for-profit) social media.

Personally, I want to see a sharp increase in co-living (a.k.a communal living). That would greatly lower the buy-in threshold for tenant unions to really take off, not to mention all the other mental, social, financial, and environmental benefits.

I use FlorisBoard, and I don't remember having any issues. I've only used KDE remote a couple times though, so ymmv.

From what I've read, it's certainly happened. As for how frequently, the number for the last US presidential election sits somewhere between a few dozen and a few hundred thousand. Reports vary, as they tend to do. 🤷 I haven't done any serious research yet.

Small but crucial correction:

Ghibli filter trend is just people hiding how ugly they feel.

I might also say trying to hide instead. It's usually not hard to tell when it comes from insecurity.

IDK guys, I feel like the solution is pretty obvious. Just tell the utilities to turn on a crypto or GenAI farm to soak up the excess free power. Voilà, problem solved and Value™ created for shareholders. Win win!

Eh, might be a bit of... inverse confirmation bias there. Don't assume we're not here just because we're not proclaiming it in every comment. 🙃 There are plenty of us I'm sure, we're just mostly the sane and rational type of Christians you rarely hear much about. Those of us really striving to live like Christ have to practice a certain meekness, selflessness, and compassion for others that makes us highly unlikely to participate in flame wars and the like. 😅🙂

...it also makes many of us lean pretty far left.

I really got to thinking about this just the other day when I found that a Prosthetic Limb is a common magic item in D&D 5e. (Of course how common a common item is exactly is at DM's discretion, but nevertheless.)

Oh, it gets better. For countries that we have a trade surplus with... they're still levying a 10% tariff. Because like, UsA biG stROnG, I guess? Stupid reckless chest pounding. I just can't.
