This appears to be somewhat fixed now that we've reverted to using the mainline Lemmy docker build, will investigate our fork!
crashdoom
This appears to be a known bug in the current version and will be fixed in the next update. EDIT: Keeping the page open for a few seconds seems to get it to catch up, though in the worst case it can take a minute or so...
Personally, I pronounce it “POB” because W’s are hard :p
Though, I totally didn’t realize when I chose the domain that Pawb also meant “everybody” in Welch as @match@pawb.social mentioned, but I think it makes it all the better :3
Mind taking some screenshots of the problematic areas?
Also, apparently there's emoji now... Just the implementation is a bit... jank XD
When there are changes to the base Lemmy project, those will be implemented in our fork, and when we feel there's a feature to push back upstream, we'll gladly do so.
We're also not making the fork specific to Pawb.Social, so things like the donation link will be customizable.
I'm doing occassional restarts to try and help mitigate this! There should be another update in the next few days which I'm hoping will include a fix!
Given the consensus trends towards blocking right now, if the community does change its mind down the line and Facebook demonstrates a level of change that trends towards improved moderation and moral business practices, we would be open to reconsidering this decision.
I'd agree, and at the very least once a year would be ample time for an instance to resolve any issues. We're also open to instances reaching out to discuss refederation as well when they believe they've addressed the concerns listed on their deferation notice, both here and on Mastodon as well.
Okay, please, can we actually? xD
We’re no longer defederating with them, but I wanted to make this post for transparency on why we originally did.
Yeah, I'm unsure what was happening, the codebase is theoretically the same yet the forked version encountered way more bugs. Will need to troubleshoot and test more before deploying that. My apologies!
