Judging by the fact you are commenting on a national article on the topic, I'd say you're wrong, and people are doing the opposite of ignoring it.

Trump and the GOP have no intention of letting this "crisis" be solved. They'll stand in the way of any fix and then blame Biden.
The most shameless part is how they're using it as an excuse to withhold aid from Ukraine. It's clear they just want to help Russia. The GOP owes Russia favors still I suppose.

I go to the cashier's and try to never self checkout. It has always seemed like a way to reduce the number of employees. The price of goods sure hasn't gone down as a result. People need jobs. These stores are rich enough. I realize that's a little naive but that's where I am with it.
