This is what my Firefox-builtin-translator produces:

The year 2025 has experienced an astonishing trend: the "Go European" movement has followed the "deGoogle" trend. While the latter was only a matter of leaving big tech platforms to get better privacy, the former has a lot to do with digital sovereignty. Since US tech companies can be forced by the US government to release data - even if the servers are in Europe - more and more people and companies are choosing European services to regain control of their data.

And at Tuta, we see the result of this trend first-hand.

In the first half of 2025, the number of our paid customers increased by more than 80% compared to the same period in 2024. The number of our . Even more impressive, the growth of our paying customers in 2025 has accelerated more than four times as fast as in the first half of the year 2024.

What has changed? It can be said that “America First” is our best selling point.

Yes, really. Best selling argument

Trump’s call for “America First,” to which a constant back and forth in the tariffs followed, and his instructions to Microsoft to disable the email account of the chief president of the International Criminal Court based in The Hague, the Netherlands, has prompted many to rethink their digital services and improve their digital sovereignty.

With the increasing involvement of US platforms in political dramas, many felt uncomfortable in their dependence on Silicon Valley technology companies: compared to US products, European alternatives such as Tuta seemed much more attractive.

As a result, interest in services such as Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar exploded. The increase in paying customers at Tuta in the first half of 2025 was more than four times higher than in 2024 - and other European services report similar figures. And this growth was added to the growth we have seen through the “deGoogle” movement, which has been looking for privacy-friendly alternatives for years. Here is a detailed list of tech services, if you also want “deGoogle”.

To celebrate the success of the first half of 2025 and to convince more people to leave surveillance technology in favour of alternatives that focus on privacy, Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar offer a week-long action. If you now change to Tuta, you will receive a 50% discount on Tuta Mail and Tuta Calendar in the first year. (Only valid if there was no previously paid subscription.)

American companies - even if they set up servers in Europe and offer “sovereign clouds” (which is actually only “sovereign” washing) - must release 702 data to American authorities on the basis of the CLOUD Act and the FISA 702, even without a judicial order and without informing their European customers.

That is why the EU is now trying to replace Microsoft Azure with a European provider - and many others are following this example.

At Tuta, we are proud to play a pioneering role for a private, secure Internet with our end-to-end encrypted e-mail and calendar service based in Germany. Whether you are coming from Munich, Madrid or Montreal, we thank you for supporting the movement for a private Internet and digital sovereignty.

And if you still use Big Tech email, now is perhaps the perfect time to choose European alternatives to US products.

It seems to me like all the Youtubers actually agree: This Daggerheart license is not as bad as OGL but there are some parts which raise concerns.

It isn't a problem for now but imagine a future where someone big (like Hasbro or Disney or...) buys the rights to Daggerheart and wants to extract more money from the IP. Having experienced WotC, the TTRPG community is sensitive about it, so it seems appropriate to demand some more explanation from Darrington Press.

They want to contrast it to Tesla which is a lot of fanfare without delivering.

Dann könnte ich The Secret of Apollo empfehlen.

Winners will be announced at Gen Con on August 1st.

Yes, it works like that for me. Now I'm confused.

Nichts gewonnen.
