hold dpad down to group sneak. I thought D:OS2 was better for inventory and party grouping.

The main lens I use now (Canon 5D Mk3) is a Sigma 50-500. It's more fiddly than the Canon stuff, and if I wanted to pay twice as much I could get a Canon lens that did a better job at one end or the other of it's range, but when you have decent light both of the 50 and somewhere close to the 500 can take some pretty nice pictures. If you need one specific shot, my Dad's Canon 200-400 is definitely more reliable, but I really like being able to go on a hike with one lens and get a variety of types of shots, and I take hundreds to thousands on a good hike so I'm not bothered by missing a single shot.

I also have a 24mm f/1.8 macro from them that's even more niche (despite the wide angle, it's not awesome for landscapes), but if you can get something close range, I really like the bokeh of the background and the subject is extremely sharp.

That article is straight up delusion that completely ignores the principles of logic it's falsely built on, asserting assumptions that are not fact or loosely based on fact as "true". It's anti-science, anti-logic, and anti-intelligence in all forms.

Formal logic is entirely unconnected to objective truth. It is a tool to reason that starts with assumptions. You can prove something is logically or mathematically consistent. You cannot prove anything is objectively true or false using formal logic, because it is dependent upon the initial assumptions you used, and his assumptions are nonsense.

I hate Windows, but the not having track pads to interact with the OS is worse.

Edit: (OK, had to install windows to see if Madden is playable. Windows is almost as bad.)

Pickup sports. I can run all day playing football or basketball.

Since that isn't an actual option I have anymore, I mostly actually use an exercise bike. It's low impact and I can do it while my brain is occupied elsewhere. I'd like a rowing machine because it's a big full body power workout, but I have no room for one.

Yes, it is exactly that.

If you buy a multiplayer game and stop paying for plus, you cannot play any more.

It doesn't matter. 30FPS is a technically bad game if it's literally flawless in every other aspect.

It's one thing to say "the switch is such shit that that's all we can handle" and ship it without limitations, but there is no game where it isn't a significant limitation. It's not suddenly OK just because your actions aren't in real time.

I was expecting to have to see if I could tolerate streaming, but I'll definitely have to give the default and this a try before resorting to that.

Those aren't the same or similar. Those are options in addition to buying that allow access to a large library of games (except humble, which is just buying games). They aren't "pay this subscription or you can't play the game you bought".

Some games won’t run at 60fps in any platform (Dark Souls original release) so they should not be PC verified?

Sounds good to me. I'm not part of the group that thinks every game has to run at 240FPS to be an acceptable port, but if you don't run at 60 you're absolutely a bad port.

If that was the case then they could just stick 100 people in a lobby and get them to square off 1v1 in a tournament until there’s one winner.

And you think battle royales have too much down time?

I don't play them because they're all prey to the modern aggressive cash grab bullshit most online games are, but most of the downtime you're discussing is actually active and engaged. You need to be consciously making a decision during the parachute part to decide where you want to land. All the "collecting" is constantly under stress, because if you aren't aware of your surroundings at all times, you could be dead. The whole game mode has a tension to it that most others don't, because dying in death match doesn't cost you anything but 10 seconds to respawn.

Are you willing to pay several thousand for a mediocre CPU and no dedicated graphics?

Because even then they don't have a chance of making their R&D back.
