I can sympathize with the argument on gig work for hire like Uber. I'm not sure any of the frameworks we have work that well, but there's merit to at least some of the protections of employment law being in play.

But YouTube isn't employing anyone.

The balance on the Magic Keyboard is still pretty shit. It will work on a flat surface, but the adjustment aren't good and it will fall over if you try to use it in your lap.

The trackpad is really nice, but it's worth considering a third party option that gives a more functional laptop form factor if you intend to use it on a lap.

This would be an absolutely insane precedent that would just result in further gate-keeping the ability to earn revenue on YouTube.

He doesn't even deserve to get to preliminary motions, and his attorney should be disciplined for wasting the court's time.

I get that it's a big game that could easily be the ECF matchup, but it's November. The Celtics have the best record at 12-3. That's less than a fifth of the way into the season, which is a long, miserable grind.

A coach trying to keep Giannis from demanding to play every minute is probably a good thing. You're playing for a championship, not a regular season win.

A dog isn't a jacket.

There have been exploits. You could break the AI to get an insta-sack for a while.

I don't think anti-cheat helped with that though. The actual reason is ultimate team. They don't want anyone exploiting them instead of paying money.

I wasn't even trying to bypass it. I had a separate microsd I was going to run windows from just for Madden. But you don't have a lot of options when they don't think you've given them enough invasive access.

I did bend the knee and get it for PS5 eventually, so I guess they still won.

As a Madden addict (not ultimate team, which is a cool idea ruined by monetization, just real teams head to head), I spent a bunch of time trying to jump through hoops to play it on Steam Deck. I went as far as installing windows to a microSD and trying to run it off that (because making it the actual OS or letting it touch my drive was unacceptable to me) before giving up.

I ended up refunding, but I can see the motivation and frustration if something you're really into doesn't work when it should. (The previous version didn't have anticheat and ran like a charm).

Anticheat.

The casual friendly hyper-monetized nonsense that needs to install malware to "ensure fair play" (or sell loot boxes and spy on you) doesn't run.

I have paid for games on Steam GOG gave me free.

It's not as bad as epic, but it's still not worth using.

The level of liability you'd expose yourself actively advertising it as some sort of mental health product is insane.

I do believe someone will be dumb enough, but it's a truly terrible, insanely unsafe idea with anything resembling current tech in any way.

Then pay someone to do the work.

Supporting obscure trash isn't worth development time.
