You’re not actually giving the website access to your fingerprint or other biometric information by doing that. That’s all handled on your device which then sends a verification message.

There is a huge diversity of plastics being produced today and each one will require a unique evolutionary adaptation to be biodegraded. We’re also continuously developing new plastics and new combinations of plastics such as core-shell polymers. You also had much more wood available than you have plastic scattered across the earth, meaning much more energy available for any microorganisms that evolved to degrade wood and thus a greater evolutionary advantage. I don’t think microbes are going to save us from the plastic scourge anytime soon.

Sanders’ EOs with a conservative Supreme Court would have been unilaterally nullified. The conservative supermajority is what has allowed Trump to get away with the vast majority of this.

I use PIA because they're the only ones who support split tunnel and port forwarding on my OS. My torrent client and some chat apps run through the tunnel and everything else is bypassed. I'd use TOR on top of it if I wanted to do anything truly dodgy, which I don't.

I actually have solar. The entirety of my south-facing roof is covered, but it's only 7.6 kW clipped to 5.6 kW by the microinverters. It's about 70% of my usage right now. I'm trying to get to 100% through efficiency upgrades.

I’d really like to get a heat-pump water heater but my current one is a lowboy, so I’d either need to excavate clay from underneath it or move the lines/power supply. The only lowboy heat-pump water heaters are incredibly expensive.

Turn-out for primaries is minuscule. If you’re in a deep red state that has fully open primaries, you can request a republican primary ballot. I guarantee if you fully look into every primary candidate there will be a reasonable person who is at least open to impeaching or otherwise opposing Trump.

If it’s a partially-open primary state you will have to switch to independent to vote strategically in primaries.

If you’re in a deep-red state with closed primaries, it’s worth considering switching affiliations just so you can have some say in who represents you.

I know it’s like sifting through shit to find an edible kernel of corn, but it’s what has to be done to stop this in deep-red states.

I’ll trade two sacks of regular flour for one of oxycodone.
