DRAM pricing is what it is because AI investment frenzy is so intense. Western/NVIDIA centered AI will be more expensive too, because they are chasing so hard all of the memory (mostly) and TSMC capacity. Hurting all other computer companies. They can extort US/western customers even harder, making AI either more expensive or losing more money for their customers, by diverting/dumping H200/memory supply to abundantly powered Chinese customers, to try and slow down Huawei sales.

Chinese models have significantly closed the frontier gap, while far exceeding the value proposition of LLM service, and a cost increase for US customers will make the gap worse, and require a Skynet program to bail out the too big to fail AI bubble.

The Trump administration has ordered U.S. diplomats to lobby against countries’ attempts to regulate how American tech companies handle foreigners’ data, arguing that data sovereignty laws threaten the advancement of AI services and technology, Reuters reported, citing an internal diplomatic cable.

The cable, signed by U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, says such laws would “disrupt global data flows, increase costs and cybersecurity risks, limit AI and cloud services, and expand government control in ways that can undermine civil liberties and enable censorship,” according to the report.

The cable pushes diplomats to “counter unnecessarily burdensome regulations, such as data localization mandates.” It also orders them to track proposals that would promote data sovereignty laws, and urged diplomats to promote the Global Cross-Border Privacy Rules Forum, an international group that claims to enable “trusted data flows globally through international data protection and privacy certifications.”

In this study led by Jie V. Zhao, Yitang Sun, Junmeng Zhang, and Kaixiong Ye from the University of Hong Kong and the University of Georgia, researchers investigated whether two amino acids, phenylalanine and tyrosine, affect how long people live (lifespan). The results suggest that higher levels of tyrosine are linked to shorter life expectancy in men, pointing to potential sex-specific approaches to promoting longevity.

  • More journalists and media workers were killed in 2025 than in any other year since the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) began collecting data more than three decades ago.
  • This is the second consecutive year-on-year record for press deaths.
  • Israel was responsible for two-thirds of all press killings in both 2025 and 2024.
  • The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has committed more targeted killings of journalists than any other government’s military since CPJ began documentation in 1992.

When pressed on whether biblical geography implied sovereignty beyond Israel’s current borders, Huckabee responded: “It would be fine if they took it all.”

That sentence is not incidental. It encapsulates a worldview. Beneath his selective invocation of international law lies Christian Zionism: the belief that Israel’s legitimacy rests not on negotiated sovereignty or contemporary legal norms, but on biblical covenant.

Some interpretations envision borders extending from the Nile to the Euphrates, encompassing territory in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Iraq and Saudi Arabia, countries that together are home to hundreds of millions of people.

This is no longer fringe theology. It increasingly intersects with political power.

Splash Damage has acquired Scum developer Gamepires from Runescape developer Jagex, in a transaction backed by Emona Capital.

The acquisition was framed as "part of a refreshed strategic direction," which would combine "Splash Damage's long-standing multiplayer and first-person shooter expertise with Gamepires' strength in open-world survival and live services," the company said in a press release.

The combined group will "focus on expanding its premium development and co-development partnerships in conjunction with scaling the Scum franchise and investing in new IP."
