I tried playing Atelier Sophie 2 but I stopped at the tutorial teaching crafting.

I don’t understand why I have to play Tetris in order to craft something.

I will try Atelier Lulua instead.

Looks delicious! I would at least eat 4 times of what's in your picture.

Some of them they what the result would be, but they still thought Trump was playing 4D chess blah blah blah.

I do like narrative games, and I prefer games with full voice acting with W3 seems to have. I will try it again eventually. Thanks for the suggestion.

I play exclusively handheld.

From a Switch Lite. I love how lightweight the Lite is, but the screen is just too small for some games.

On the other hand, the Switch 2 is too heavy. I originally wanted to sell my Lite, but I might keep it for playing games with simple graphics. Too bad there isn't a Switch 2 Lite yet.

Only around 1 hour I think. Part of the problem is the confusing UI and the not so helpful tutorial. I have lowered the difficulty but the tutorial tries to teach me everything at the same time.

I have similar issues with CP2077. I think CDPR is good at characters/stories, but not so good at introducing game mechanics.

Finally got my Switch 2. Going to play the only games I have so far:

  • Mario 3D All-Star
  • BotW
  • Animal Crossing
  • Mario Odyssey

Really want Fantasy Life i, but will wait for a discount.

My backlog:

  • CP2077 (a few hours in but didn't enjoy the gameplay)
  • Mass Effect 3 (I loved ME1 and ME2, but many people say ME3 is not as good)
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Fallout 4
  • Final Fantasy 7 Remake (I might just give up, didn't enjoy the combat and the padding)
  • Hellblade
  • Dying Light
  • Tomb Raider the recent trilogy
  • Baldur's Gate 3 (got stuck because combat is too confusing/difficult to me)
  • Divinity Original Sin 2
  • The Witcher 3 (not enjoying the combat)
  • GTA 4 and 5
  • Dragon Quest Builders

Handheld game consoles are too big and heavy.
Games are too long.

Cooking - You can pretty much learn by trial and error. Or watch some YouTube videos.

In many places, only the MK bundle is available. You would have to wait much longer for the Switch 2 standalone.

For me, I am hoping to see discounts on:

  • Steam Deck OLED
  • Expedition 33 (probably worth the full price but I am not sure if the timing based combat is for me)
  • Fantasy Life i
  • Indiana Jones and the Great Circle

I love watching game reviews on YouTube, but I find many reviewers sharing these annoyances:

  • Loud background music making it difficult to listen to the actual review
  • Spending way too much time talking about the story. I only want to know the theme of the story, not the entire plot
  • Making it a game tutorial. It is helpful to briefly describe the game mechanics so I can find out whether the game is for me. But it becomes excessive when you explain it in detail.

What I want to hear more:

  • Whether the game is good
  • How it compares with other games in the genre
  • How is the music in the game?

Game channels I like/recommend:
TheKisekiNut, JohnRiggs, MortismalGaming, davidvinc, gameranx, ircha

Can someone recommend other good gaming channels? I especially like retro games.

Apple’s AI rollout has been rocky, from Siri delays to underwhelming Apple Intelligence features. WSJ’s Joanna Stern sits down with software chief Craig Federighi and marketing head Greg Joswiak at WWDC 2025 in Cupertino to talk about the future of AI at Apple—and what the heck happened to that smarter Siri.

Remember when Google introduced text-only ads to replace flashing animated banners and pop-up ads popular at the time? I didn't mind those and I didn't need an adblocker.

Nowadays YouTube is the primary reason I have to use an adblocker. It is literally unusable with all the ads.
