Kbin is tolerable in a mobile browser, but it actually becomes quite good once you decide to use Firefox on mobile and install the Tampermonkey addon along with some community userscripts to improve the functionality. Kbin is much younger than Lemmy, so it's just playing catch-up right now.
On PC, I very much prefer Kbin's user interface (but still with custom userscripts and a few minor changes to the theme I use).
I'm gonna get crucified for saying this, but... I write a lot of my scripts in PHP. It's just a language that I'm very familiar with.
Looks like it may be underextruding a tiny bit, especially judging by the gaps between the walls. Try calibrating esteps and flow. Search for guides for this on Youtube. There are some handy websites too that you can input the numbers into and they'll calculate the new esteps to use.
And with multiple sticks of RAM in use, that makes it RAID, right?
Right?
The "mod virus problem" will never truly be solved. New infected mods are always popping up, and always will be. It's an easy way for hackers to infect computers, since kids blindly install random mods all the time. Only install trusted and well-known mods, and only download them from trusted sources, to minimize risk.
But then they can't force you to get Discord Nitro.
There's no official API for Kbin yet. The fact that there are any apps being worked on for Kbin at all yet is a miracle. I would have prioritized an API as a very urgent feature in order to let app developers get some good apps out as soon as possible, to take advantage of the initial Reddit migration hype. Lemmy has a big advantage over Kbin because of all the apps that are coming out right now. Not that it's a competition, of course. Kbin has around 50.000 users already, as far as I know. And the Kbin devs have a lot on their plates already, some of which is critical to allow the site to work well for this number of users.
So, it's easy for me to sit here and say what I think they should have prioritized differently. I don't have all the inside information, so take my opinion with a grain of salt. I'm really happy that Kbin is doing as well as it is now. @ernest has been working tirelessly, and I hope it becomes something he can live off of too, somehow.
With the amount of data I have, it takes Everything about 12 hours to re-index it all.
I currently run Everything in a Linux VM (running with Wine) that has my servers' shares mounted read-only, but it stops running after a day or two every time. All in all, not very stable.
I'm looking for something better too.
The floss picks are too taut to be able to do that adequately.
The cheap ones I use do go a bit slack, but maybe that's just because the plastic is cheap and soft.
Probably Minecraft. But I haven't spent an insignificant amount of time in Garry's Mod either.
