I attempted to do that once. I got a couple hours into calculating exactly what all I needed before giving up. Especially after figuring out it's not even the best way to make money in the game. But I've also spent hours and hours designing and building bases just for fun, so I get it.

That's not how it works. These people spend millions of dollars a year on advertising and spreading their garbage. If unchecked, the only introduction a normal person (not terminally online like me) would have to clowns like this would be at worst uncritical, and at best flattering.
I have no way to find a clip like this without spending way too much effort to do it, but Sam Seder constantly clowns on these bozos for that exact reason. And he's talked several times on his show about his philosophy, because callers will call in and say what you've said. He wants to make sure that his videos making these fools look like the dunces they are get pulled into the algorithm and fed to people alongside their videos.
And you know what? That works! He gets callers all the time who say things like, "I'm so embarrassed because I used to watch Ben Shapiro (or Sam Smith, Dave Rubin, etc.) and I saw one of your videos mocking them and it made me realize how dumb they were."
It might be different if these dinguses didn't have Koch Brother millions at their disposal, but they do. They must be challenged. For those of us who already hate Ben Shapiro and the ghouls like him, these challenges aren't doing any good. In fact, they might be annoying, like they are to you. But it's still important.
I...uh...don't know how to respond to this. It's never happened before.
But for real, though. Thank you for engaging in good faith and being amiable.
I love Dan's videos. This one was special to me because I watched that Jamie Oliver show contemporaneously and agreed with him at the time. I also love cooking, talking about food, watching cooking shows, etc. Dan really got me to see things a little differently with this one.
But that is the title.
Ok, so we can say in plain terms: a person working in a factory should be able to afford **buying a car**.
Not only that, they nailed the ending. Most shows fail the ending.
How does that make your bad argument better?
You say people should be able to afford necessities. Then you compare buying a car to buying a cruise ship. One is a necessity to many people, one is completely unrelated to people.
Yes the argument makes no sense when you change the subject completely.
Is this video about something only large corporations can afford, or is it about something that is necessary for lots of families to have and seen as normal to buy?
Why? Is Elon also bigoted against leprechauns?
Patient investors, probably.
I have an SBA loan that I took out in 2021. My monthly payments have gone up by $2500 ish in just interest. It really hurts.
