This is the main reason I try to avoid EA games, even if they're good.
The flip side is, a really good game that gets consistent improvements and content can be fun to keep up with and come back to from time to time.
This is a textbook example of cherry picking.
I loved Doom 2016. Eternal was such a letdown for me. Completely different games.
I get some of the same feelings working on home automation and creating my own IOT devices.
I didn't enumerate my issues with reddit, and I don't intend to. That's a perfect example of a straw man, though.
The only argument I'm making, and the only argument I care to talk about is that you're toxic.
TUNIC. It's impossible to truly explain without spilling anything. But I don't think any other game could do what that game did again and succeed, unless of course whoever is playing it hasn't already played TUNIC.

The floorplan looks ok, except it's smaller than they're letting on. The bed in that bedroom takes up a suspiciously small space.
I haven't been to as many funerals as you have, but several course family members have died.
I hate funerals.
The best funeral I've ever been to wasn't a funeral. Instead, the family got together at the daughter's house and just visited for a few days. Then next spring, on what would have been their birthday, everyone gathered to memorialize them, and spread their ashes.
That was a much nicer way of handling it, in my opinion.
