I basically came to say this, but also that the cause is systemic.
When modern society, so thoroughly ravaged by late stage capitalism, requires you to spend the majority of your day working or doing chores and your leisure time is resting just enough so you can do it so again, there's no energy left to fight.
I can't say that those in charge are smart enough to do this on purpose, but it's definitely effective.

Rust is great, and I truly mean that. But saying you can't get race conditions in Rust is just not true.
And also, not everything is going to be written in Rust. When the company you're working for needs a web application quickly, that's better done in other languages.
And also also, Spring has a lot of niceties when it comes to concurrency that make this much less of a point.
This whole thread is pretty triggering to me. People think that if the recipe is exact enough, it'll come out perfect the first time and they won't have to make any tweaks sure to their ingredients, their equipment, or the environment.
