What's wild is that this is only the first metroidvania Little Nemo game that's been in the works: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2229030/Little_Nemo_and_the_Nightmare_Fiends/
Absolutely. Thanks for the feedback. No idea if I’m posting into a void
The devs label it as a metroidvania, and a lot of reviews mention it as a Zelda-like, but people who’ve played it say it straddles an already thin line between the genres.
Same with me on Grime 1.
In my opinion, avoid “MÍO: Memories in Orbit” if you’re not a fan of platforming. I had to avoid some pretty big areas of that game for how seriously hard some of the platforming challenges were.
The first Grime was 2021, so 3 years prior to PoP. But playing both, they play very differently and didn’t feel visually similar. I can see what you’re saying in the lighting and shaders.
There are demos for both Grime games, so it could be a good way to get a feel for them
Thanks for posting!
And most of it was within a year or two. All happened at the same time around 2020. Real fast
Because it’s not a side-scroller?
Thanks for posting an MP4! I’d love to see more NBA highlights as MP4s and WEBM files as they auto play on Lenny
Same. I respected it, but didn’t get past something like the 4th boss and never came back. But people love that game
They 100% should play Jackie Wilson’s “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher” at the event as a nod.
I’d add that some people delineate between the two with the idea that Zelda-likes have dungeons and metroidvanias don’t.
