I could only find one review, as this game was shadow-dropped, but it's pretty positive. The Steam reviews look good, too.

With the motorcycle, they were clearly inspired by Laika: Aged Through Blood 😏

I really liked that Nine Sols had an difficulty slider. It was much harder for me than Hollow Knight, but I could adjust the slider instead of banging my head against the wall. I sometimes can enjoy the satisfaction of completing something tough, but I have limited time to play games and it’s getting trickier with a young child.

😏 just a little…

I have a 15-month-old, so I’m going to hire a full time au-pair so I can play this game.

That’s my description. The mechanic is something I haven’t heard of before. It may be gimmicky, but we’ll see…

It seems like it, but isn’t crystal clear. The Steam listing has “online co-op” listed, but Artplay doesn’t talk about it in their press. I’ve seen other places highlight it, but they could be mistaken.

Thanks! How are you viewing it when you use Lemmy? In a browser? Voyager? Curious as I don’t think playback is consistent across platforms.

The Early Access reviews are “mostly positive”, so here’s to hoping they iron out the kinks. I like the style, but will be cautiously optimistic until I see the final reviews.

Last year felt like the best year for releases, and this year has a ton of bangers already and may end up beating 2024.

There are some great releases on the horizon. I’m about to post about the new Metroid and the dystopian Pac-Man metroidvania.

Good times.

After you play a bit, I’d love to hear what you think

I was surprised by the focus on Ultros, but not Animal Well. That game is already one of the genre’s hallmarks. I liked Ultros, but know it’s not for everyone. Animal Well isn’t as traditional an entry, but a smash hit.

Yeeeaaahhh…🧐 I think that snake isn't alone. Some of the other screenshots feature some mamajamas.

Out of curiosity, if someone posts a YouTube link and you auto play the video, what gets shared with YouTube?
