OK cloudflare, my request is coming from a nasty network; but you declared ☑ my browser to be fine and me to be human and our "connection secure" two minutes ago. Remember my browser, pretty please?
Garbage tech. Makes me hate the sites using it, just like Google's dumpster-juice tier captchas. Might not be so awful if they made it stick, but these tech leviathans can't manage it apparently. I click over to a site I've never been on. Cloudflare: 😲🫴🦋 is this a botnet?
tl;dr: steganography
For the more "federated" actions on lemmy, I've found it's better to cancel and retry after giving it just a short fair chance to go through. Many hours of "pending" seems to be a lie, as I've yet to see it retry and succeed automatically.

While not even his patient, I went along to a family-member's appointment. It was maybe their tenth session. Time's up. Therapist starts nudging for signing next to a laundry list of appointment dates that even I know never happened. Uh, what are you doing? I'm watching you commit insurance fraud. I'm sure many of his other patients just signed in the box. So dramatic fraud and brazenly taking advantage of people is just part of the routine for some people.
