In my country we mostly use WhatsApp and it has a specific option in the menus that says 'in chat notification sound' which does exactly what you are looking for.
What I would suggest is try another messaging app that is more feature rich such as textra. I bet they do a better job at handling notifications than the default app.
I just built a laptop and I always choose Mint. I used the XFCE spin and it failed me. Everything worked well except the second monitor screen. I just could not get it to display proper 1080p. I tried forums and changed a bunch of configurations.
I ended up getting Fedora on it and it worked out of the box. Oh well. Fedora it is then.
My very lucky fat asshole cat. Look at his face. You can tell.
They dropped off the kid in a park further down and then left the truck a few miles after. Kid was OK.
DizqueTV you say.... Onto the high seas to look for more info and understand what this is and why I need it...
Slay the Spire is a masterpiece. It takes time to really get it. If you want to learn more about it, which makes the game way more enjoyable, look up Baalord on YouTube. He has been playing the game for years. He also explains his decision making process so that you get the inners of the game and why so many people love the game so much. I suck at the game but have been able to get some winning runs and it feels so good when it finally clicks.

My Samsung phone does have that feature in the My Files app that comes pre installed. I don't use it because File Manager+ is so much better. And I have access to my SFTP, LAN and NAS. I am not associated with the app. Just enjoy it and recommend it because I find it very useful.
