It's a matter of numbers. Like sports. You get the best by having a large pool of possible posts to rise to your attention. Reddit gets a bunch of posts that never get read. Lemmy we read pretty much all of them. There are some good posts here and there in Lemmy but not to the level of reddit. And until Lemmy gets reddit numbers it will suffer from "athletes" from small towns vs athletes from big cities. No contest.

Lucky here. My cat does not mind at all. It takes to cut front paws about 2 minutes. Cat doesn't even realize. Back legs are a different story. Can't get near them. But they usually require a lot less trimming than the front.

Nice. Looking into this one. Although in reality I use about 95% whatsapp just because everyone else does. Wish we could all just switch to Signal or even Telegram but nah... Whatsapp is so engrained everywhere that it is not going to go away anytime soon.

That's from Suicide Squad. It's hilarious. The actor in that suit is the directors brother Sean Gunn.

Try roasting the peppers before slicing them. It brings out the flavor and makes them extra spicy.

Voting wallets is what brought us here. Free market does not have the consumers best interest as their prinary driver. It's money. This discussion is on how us consumers feel about the businesses response to the market and how they are exploiting human weaknesses to get quick cash and how this phenomena shapes the market for the future. It does not look good. That is what we are saying.

My very first distro that introduced me to Linux. So many years ago. Maybe I will take it for a spin soon to see how it has progressed over the years.

I understand your position but the problem here is that it is a business model that seems to be successful. This makes other companies and product follow suit. This fact changes the quality of the games produced in the future for the worse (arguably) because they are now designed to get you to spend money on cosmetics instead of you know actually liking the game for what it is.

I consider myself a patient gamer. Never buying new games because of all this bullshit. But online fighting games are exceptions, they have a short span where players of all skill are playing. Wait a year or two after release and the only people left are just so good that there is no community for your low level beginner fights. If you want the game for the story, that is fine. Wait. But if you want to have fun online and progress and all that loop (which is a lot of fun by the way) then you have to bite the bullet and buy soon after release.
