Not really. They were replying to it being unsafe. Sure, they did mention in the comment before that about leaving it in a dish, but a dish that covers butter without the water works too, just not as well as the water one, but better than out in the open. In my experience even out in the open isn't bad in a few days like it says, closer to 1-2 weeks, especially if salted.

Speaking as an older weeb who reads Korean and Chinese works as well, Japan tends to be the most varied of the 3 for male directed stuff. Chinese especially is all ridiculously curvy women with slim waists and tight clothes. For Japan, especially in the case of harems or multiple female leads (stuff like Azumanga etc) they generally have a range, and there is a lot of works aimed at women that doesn't go down the big boob route (though usually has always perfect looking tall men in contrast).

I've seen similar stuff in games too, at least the ones I play. I wish FFXIV had better butt sliders for everyone and every race, but other that than I enjoyed how you can have really subdued chests etc for characters, rather than some of the super hero bodies I saw in other games.

Also, may I also present American superhero comic books. It's less a Japan only thing and more a... male thing I guess? You have good examples in every country I'm sure, but if you're only looking superficially you'll only see the most common stuff, which often are the more generic and problematic on this front.

They say single, so I assume they also mean living alone. Being able to pay rent etc on your own without roommates. Still, while I skimmed the article I didn't read all the nuance so I might have missed where they specified their parameters.

Edit: found it:

In Hawaii, the living wage for single workers is $112,411 — the highest in the U.S. — according to an analysis by personal finance website GOBankingRates.com. To determine the living wage in each state, GOBankingRates calculated the minimum amount a single person would need to follow the 50/30/20 budget, using data from Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Following this outline, 50% of income is used to cover necessities, such as housing and utility costs, 30% goes toward discretionary spending, and 20% is left for savings or investments.

Dude, I play games every day, and I read manga, manhwa, and manhua. There are tons of shitty attitudes, racism, bigotry, and misogyny I see everyday. Comment section I read just a few mins ago where the manhwa is discussing how dark magic isn't really evil, a comment shows KKK image in an HH salute with the comment "I hate everything that's dark."

I know lots of good people from those communities also, but they don't defend the community like you're doing. Admit it has a problem, even if you love it. Nothing is perfect, and so nothing is without problems. Pointing it out can help reduce those problems or let your fellow community members know you don't find it funny or acceptable. If you just stick your head in the sand then claim "not all _______", it's equivalent to not acknowledging the issue and asking the rest of us to just accept it as is.

Yes, but that's to their friends; not people who should be obeying their instructions without question like the peasants they are.

I read it, backed out, then came back to upvote because I was grinning.

As an ex-JW, anyone who really follows it shouldn't follow any politicians. They consider the process flawed as it isn't God's kingdom, and from what I was taught being raised in it they only go political to protect freedom of religion and freedom to preach. My mom and brother are still practicing/loyal, and they didn't do stupid stuff like ignore Covid.

They did call-ins/video conferencing for their meetings, did writing/phone calls instead of door to door. Not to defend them that much, they still enable way too much child abuse due to their "keep the courts out of it" stance, and I consider my upbringing emotionally abuse since I literally hated myself for months to years at a time if I ever "succumbed" to porn every 6-8 months. I also have no idea how to have romantic relationships because I always considered myself too sinful to be a partner up until I felt i was too old to really enter dating. My mom also coldly cut-off all contact to my younger sister becaus3 she isn't married to the man she's living with.

Edit: also, JWs consider all other religions to be false. They don't want to join up with evangelicals, they consider them worse than atheists. At least I did until I got out.

Edit edit: that makes me sound like I think atheists are worse, but no, I just don't judge solely on religious beliefs now, and judge more on what people do with their beliefs.

I have 3 non work email addresses, one for me, one for official/finding jobs, and one for bullshit/don't really check. I also have a work email but that could be lost if/when I change jobs, so I don't count it. If she were smart, she'd do the same and use a bullshit address. Now if she was an idiot like that person who handcuffed themselves to a single door of twitter, maybe not.

Bit over 40 here stressing about my next place to live. It's getting so expensive. When I started thus latest job I was a bit desperate due ro a year without work, and I basically asked for pay that would allow me to afford a single room apartment at the time. I've had raises since, and it still feels like I can barely afford the same thing. One of my uncles thinks my opinion doesn't matter because I don't own a home, so I'm "unsuccessful", and we should listen to successful home owners like them.

A tanuki defending the raccoons eh?

You should snopes check that one. They did acquire non working ships as payment, but they scrapped em. What you said is technically correct, but oversells it.

You know, I listened to that too, so it's possible I'm mixing them up. Both talked about him but the quotes may have come from QAA and maybe I just mixed it up in my head.
