I wouldn't call myself a Trekkie, but I love Risa or RISA, or however the properly capitalized way it is. I'm not not a fan of Star Trek, I've just watched far too little to call myself a Trekkie. Excluding movies, I've probably seen something like 30-60 episodes of TNG and DS9. A few of Voyager I guess. Mostly what I caught on TV whole younger, and my memory of them in general is enjoyment. I've also read a book or two, but I was also reading SW books and definitely read more of those.

Some of us buy those ironically though. I had a shirt that said (and I unfortunately cannot put it in kana/Kanji atm) something very close to, in full kana and kanji: "I am a stupid American. I'll buy anything."

I knee fully what it meant because the sentence was pretty easy, but I still wanted to travel to Japan wearing it.

I too used mine as a backup. I don't have a working one atm, but technically my steamdeck works for most of the games I'd want to keep up with, if a bit harder to use. I can even do ffxiv, though definitely less skilled using the steamdeck. I might try with a dock and my 8bitdo controller and see how that feels (already have both, but haven't really tested it since I use that controller for switch instead).

CIS male here, personally I've never heard of the second until you mentioned it. Neat.

Oddly, maybe because of my super religious upbringing, crap doesn't feel the same as heck and the like. I also don't think I heard it used in cartoons that used substitute words. Crap always felt like the middle between shit and something like fiddlesticks or something.

For me it's often about 90% done by the time it itches, so it ends up an issue. Not as big of one, sure, but still a little bleeding.

I never really heard about Oz being from another state, but I knew how shifty he was already. BtB and iirc Last Week Tonight.

Ah, eP-hacking.

Perhaps they simply mean they don't want it internet connected at all. If it needs updates, have it be a device, USB or OBD or something, that would be the only vector for updates/direct OS control. Sure, allow internet for some features maybe, but isolate updates and the anything serious from remote tampering.

From an IT standpoint, I think a single device obviously can't cause any issues. No single phone or sig al emitter could, unless specifically designed for it. Now the next I don't have as much confidence in, but I bet if even half or more use items, same deal. No big issue. If everyone at once decides or coincidentally all cause high emmisons, maybe that would be an issue.

However, how to you get everyone to understand that? You can't say most should do it, or ask half to do it. Too many would assume others should do it instead of themselves. Bystander effect etc. If you instead have attendants choose, how to be fair and not piss people off? If it really is a low chance but something you may possibly be sued for, also why do so?

Smartest thing for a large company to do is just ban it outright. It might only have a 5% chance of failure if and only if a passengers use their phones incessantly, and it would still be safer to just ban it outright.

I know these are just copypasta, but it's always alarming seeing people act like sex is a violent act from the man onto the woman, but praising it. High HP? Armor? Shouldn't sex feel good for both parties involved?

I'm into anime and manga. This trope is overdone there, generally in harem stuff. In the US, maybe Betty and Veronica? I've never actually read or followed one, but that was my impression from Tvtropes.
