Maybe... but there are a number of clues and titles that can clarify a search. They mentioned e6 as a Sergeant, e8 as a master sergeant, and e7 as a guard commander. I couldn't find the matching last one, but just searching those together brought me up Army ranks that matched. He also stated that E6 was under E7, and that E8 was above that, so that conveys without much further definition a chain of command and ranks, even if you don't know exactly what ranks they are.

Depending on the canon (because iirc I don't recall if it's in the new Disney canon) droids can be detected by the force, and also by some are considered sentient beings. BattleDroids weren't quite as independently sentient though, from what I recall.
I sit in my Secret Labs gaming chair when working from home. When I work at the office, I sit in their Secret Labs Titan gaming chairs, which don't have a back or neck pillow so are slightly less comfortable and slightly too big.
The first thing is not so much less democracy, but more participation. I'm definitely guilty of this myself, so not trying to be holier than thou preachy. Conservatives have been doing a concerted effort to take over lower level offices as well, school boards, municipal positions, etc. Part of the issue seems ro be the people who want to do this stuff often have an ulterior motive, and people who should probably be in these spots have a lack of interest.
Agreed. I loved and still love Megaman X. Just replayed it recently and it's remarkably short. I recall it costing near $70 when we got it. People would be rioting if such a short linear game came out at that price point today, which is why it's bundled with 3 other games for $20 now.
Eh, while the issues are correct, I don't recall the governing body being that anonymous; they just didn't talk about it much in meetings. The body is listed on their website: https://www.jw.org/en/jehovahs-witnesses/faq/governing-body-jw-helpers/
No women of course, and not all had pictures so I can't be sure, but didn't see much people of color, though I do recall some in the past.
In my experience growing up in the cult, one of the things that sorta helped it not feel like one was the lack of deifying the founder and body. While they do teach their own history of it, it wasn't a large part of the worship. There's lots of other cult hints like isolationist and punishment by group shunning and stuff of course.
Most of that stuff is pretty optional, and that's for automatic withholding info. You can correct this all on your tax return. This form is more for you to have convenience during return time, and it even says you can exempt yourself from the form for multiple conditions. I don't see why you need to get paid in cash still, like your original comment.
While valid, I think the joke is supposed to be millineals and Gen z when they're old. Boomers a while back got up in arms about participation trophies, complaining were roo soft needing trophies for just participating, when they actually had to win. This comic is using the perpetuation of abuse model as a basis that when we get old, we might do the same thing adjusted to our lifetime, hence bragging that we participated.
What? No. They only know the amount you asked them to withhold, and that could get you in trouble if you specify dependents then tell everyone you don't have any or something. Also if someone is living in your house, making less than 4700 for the entire year, they can be claimed as a dependent, which means you don't even have to have kids. How would your work even know?
That's why I assume ir was taught, but as I mentioned I have no memory of it, so it wasn't taught that strictly. I went to school in a county that had schools named after "Stonewall Jackson" and the like, so I'm sure biases were baked in.
You overestimate how many of us even know that. It was probably mentioned in school I guess, but this is the first I remember hearing it. I did do kindergarten to 2nd grade in a different country though.
Yeah, Jehovah's Witnesses know to wait till someone is coming out rather than inside or heading in for this very reason.
