Nah, I listen to Knowledge Fight which debunks Jones who rants about what you said. This meat is specifically lab grown, not alternative meats, so either DeSantis is a total moron to mix em up, or he's doing this sorta on what you're saying but more on the prop up beef markets side than scared of insects side. It's like dairy companies attacking any non dairy milk, like oatmilk, almondmilk, etc. This one feels less the conspiracy pipeline and more lobbying money.

Though obviously conspiracy speaking points.

It's to encourage loyalty, like wearing branded clothes, using branded bags, or loyalty programs. This one is very benign though, so I don't find it in any way something to complain about.

Gotcha. You want a better class of mockery. I respect that.

Not really, in my experience, but also during new years my neighbor shot off like 15 shots into the air. I wasn't worried at being shot at, I was worried some drunk idiots stray bullet might come through my window. Also your statements about that was sorta my point. Some of the mildest American jokes are us being fat, then racism/mistreatment of natives, then shootings, then all the shit America has pulled in other countries. UK is bad teeth, royalty, then all the shit they did to other countries. Germany is dry or non existent humor and then Nazi.

Ooh, our animals are scary is mild, sometimes they do island of criminals, but you could be known for mistreatment of Natives also. If you gotta take an L, I think scary animals is way down on the list.

I like some lawyers. Mark Bankston and Bill Ogden are good in my books. Still, never have heroes because we're all fallible humans.

If you want an honest answer, it's just fun for us. Take it as mild ribbing. There are worse things to be remembered for.

Regulated doesn't mean they control all VPNs, it means they usually have laws requiring any use of VPN to be licensed, and usually is allowed for businesses rather than individuals. They also block via their firewall many providers. Of course, you could always use one illegally as long as traffic isn't blocked. Just don't get caught.

Same in Russia. I worked with a banking company that had a Russia office, and the company had to get government approval for the BOVPNs that were used.

I agree, but I meant how he was just explaining the background, not defending her actions.

I like sunlight but I work on a computer. The light from the window hurts my eyes while looking at the screen. So my blinds are only open when I'm not working or entertaining myself at my computer, and if that's the case I usually am in another room, outside, etc.

This convo (though subject matter feels worse) seems similar to explaining the whole ivermectin thing to people calling it horse paste mockingly. Yes, using ivermectin as an unproven cure for covid is a bad idea, but no need to mock it with horse paste. Lots if rural and poor areas will use ivermectin from vet or farm supply shops and it is still useful in killing what it's meant to kill, such as those parasites that cause blindness in river water.

Rural places often don things that seem strange other places, and carrying out euthanasia yourself may be necessary or common in farming areas with little access to the same facilities urban and suburban people enjoy. It's probably easier on the mind of farm owners as they deal with animal death more often, and since even pets may end up seriously harmed by wild predators mercy killing probably happens too.

The word? Pretty sure it's been around for decades at least.
