Unpossible. (Goes back to playing RPGs and reading isekai)
chatokun
It's the fun side!
I stopped two sentences in to save myself. Right at Fureinds. I don't get angry at pupper, doggo, etc, in fact I defend those if it's just people gushing about animals online. Not on some official political account though.
Not to be pessimistic, but karma bats 1000? No it doesn't. So many terrible people died rich and accomplished. He'll, Kissinger died at 100, still trying to be a part of politics giving advice etc.
Evangelion is sorta important culturally and historically in anime, but honestly I wouldn't call it good, even though it was one of the early ones I grew up on (along with Ranma 1/2 and Rurouni Kenshin).
Your insides will boil out of your eye sockets like a science fair volcano.
Your original comment could be taken in various tones and they wanted a clarification. For what it's worth, it is useful to some to hear it, since it could help people see differences between the US and other countries. It's just said in a way that felt more like "Butchers don't do this" rather than "As the contrast, I don't see this done in my country". Either way though, in the spirit of the question it is sorta off topic.
It's like asking "Why does this currency have this person on it?" and getting the answer "I've never seen that currency used anywhere I lived." While true, it's not really relevant, doesn't answer the question, and can either be taken as a long winded way to say "I don't know" or stubborn self centered everything worth knowing is centered around your own experiences. Which is definitely reading into it too much, but there are people who act like that, either as trolls or real jingoists.
Well, not getting the distinction is pretty important. People can't discuss an issue without both understanding the definition of terms, or we'd just be speaking different languages to each other.
Cis and trans are both Latin prefixes.
Trans- is a Latin prefix meaning "across", "beyond", or "on the other side of".
Cis- The prefix “cis-” comes from the Latin meaning “on this side,” as opposed to “trans-” which means “on the other side of” or “beyond.”
So all cisgender means is not transgender. Or transgender means not cisgender. Neither are insults that should offend, and if one does, it might be a viewpoint thing.
You are, presumably, a homo sapiens sapiens. We don't use that term generally, and just call you human. However, both are correct labels, and they aren't insults. If there were homo neanderthalensis around still, the distinction may come up in conversation for various reasons, and that's when it'd be necessary to have the different labels.
Straight or gay/bi/lesbian/pan/ace/demi etc are all talking about something completely different, which is your sexual orientation. Calling you straight when we're discussing whether you are cis or trans would be like calling you lotion or something when talking about your species. Lotion isn't a species, so it's pointless to the conversation, and just plain wrong.
You could of course request to be called lotion, but it's a confusing title if someone was discussing your species, especially medically, in socially (as in social issues or norms for your species), issues that pertain to your species, medication, etc.
Now, here is where I might be skirting close to accusing you of something, but if possible, please just think deeply about it. Why is CIS unacceptable but straight acceptable? Is it possible that CIS makes you not feel "normal" as a label, while straight does?
They don't mean the shooter, they mean the bystander who died. There where two others hit also. The one who died was a firefighter.
Nah. My name starts with Chat that is pronounced Shat. I grew up with my name being joked at being equated to shit by immature people. It's easy to get over. Every chat someone types out or references is not me. Same with every shit or shat. People need to get over themselves.
I do like pretending everytime someone asks "Chat, is this blah?" that they're talking to me, but only as a joke. I'm in no way personally offended.
but I also pretty much guarantee its gonna be a talking point on A. Jones show
I smell wonkery afoot.
It's a real substance the body makes, but it can also be synthesized. As such, people have taken it to try it out. Iirc it isn't even a fun high, so they started making up that children make "better" versions or something.
