Adding to the other responses, birds have simple digestion systems and the seed makes it into the poop, which birds do in flight so the seed will spread. Mammals digestive systems would destroy the seeds before they can spread

Most of it is we see this so often it isn't really funny anymore, plus recent trends have lowered our faith that someone is making a tired and actually knows that the joke is wrong. It's really better to explain things just in case.
Same. In fact I worry about how often I feel like I'm sometimes slacking at work, but generally my numbers look good. I warned my boss not to spoil me because I can fall into bad habits.
USian here... Iirc we're losing a ton of water on the West side of the country due to farms in California, and one of the biggest culprits is almonds. Boycotting American almonds may end up being good for the US as well, since our ruling class is too stupid to stop themselves.

While yes, you are a member of a Canadian instance (Lemmy.ca), lemmy.ca federates with other instances, many in different parts of the world. Some are European, some from the US. Undoubtedly some in other countries also, since anyone can spin up an instance, but I don't know any examples to give you.
The poster you replied to is from lemmy.world, one of the more generic instances is based in the US. Same as OP. The sh.itjust.works instance is also Canadian,but you should expert to see tons of people from all over, not just Canada and not just the US either.

Washington Times is a right wing rag started by the Unification church which is pretty much a cult, and tries to trick people into thinking it's as legitimate as the Washington Post(which we can also argue it's legitimacy, being owned by Bezos). It's been criticized often, and any public figures who has quoted it more than once should know that, and are likely just ignoring the facts.
Just using the Washington Times makes him responsible.
I literally thought it was another one of his stupid speaking mistakes, like when he suggested bleach/UV inside the body (he was just repeating some stuff he didn't understand badly, and iirc he didn't keep harping on it). Kinda surprised to see he was serious about it, it makes no sense to me either.
