LOL, that escalated quickly. I've heard some people use the expression of "a hefty spoon full of salt", but jumping straight to a truck load is pretty intense. Then again, considering the quality you get from Trump, that's actually entirely justified.

In recent decades, China has invested heavily on building renewable energy infrastructure. I think it's a matter of time until they start deploying arch furnaces, and grid energy storage. If/when that happens, Chinese emissions could be much lower than many other countries, no matter how you measure it.

We are number one! Image

Once China starts shutting down its old steel mills and coal plants, their emissions should drop drastically. That’s when USA will be left as the number 1 polluter in the world.

On top of all that, increasing prices is also a great way to boost inflation.

could have been sent Google's highest level alert - giving up to 35 seconds of warning to find safety.

Many were asleep in buildings that collapsed around them when the tremors hit.

Realistically though, if I get a notification while sleeping, it’s going to take a little more than 35 s for me to get to the nearest doorway. Even if I were awake, I would probably miss my chance to survive. If I were already staring at my phone at the exact right moment when the notification popped up, I would still have only 35 s, at most. It’s obviously better than nothing, but not exactly reassuring.

Thanks, now I’m going down in a rabbit hole of pebbles and rebbles…

Oooh! Switching things up to keep it spicy. Spoilers! Well, there has been some foreshadowing, but still... I mean, the writing is far from stale or boring, but throwing in a plot twist like that mid-season would be a bold move.

Either way, I'm sure the season finale won't disappoint.

Can confirm. Season 5 is off to a great start. 🍿

It looked more like a one time development expense, instead of an ongoing salary.

AI tools need a lot of oversight. Just like you might allow a 6 year old push a lawnmower, but you’re still going to keep an eye on things.

Not too long ago, that statement would have sounded controversial or even crazy. Nowadays though, I’m shocked how much sense it makes to me. Never thought that I would agree with something like that.

As LLMs become the go-to for quick answers, fewer people are posting questions on forums or social media. This shift could make online searches less fruitful in the future, with fewer discussions and solutions available publicly. Imagine troubleshooting a tech issue and finding nothing online because everyone else asked an LLM instead. You do the same, but the LLM only knows the manual, offering no further help. Stuck, you contact tech support, wait weeks for a reply, and the cycle continues—no new training data for LLMs or new pages for search engines to index. Could this lead to a future where both search results and LLMs are less effective?
