Not really into dirt bikes but what a fantastic design.

I’m just a non-e-biker but here are some of my strategies:

• Always use two locks (wheel lock + chain for frame)
• Avoid the ends of bike racks, middle of the pack is best
• Park next to a more expensive looking bike if possible
• Park inside (or inside a fence/gate) if possible
• Keep bike next to me at the park/beach

It also kinda depends on what kind of theft you are deterring: opportunists (unlocked), lockpicks, boltcutters, on foot vs with a van, organized crime, junkie chop shop. It helps to read up on local sources to see what the highest risk is.

In Amsterdam, the convenience of some new parking garages actually increased car traffic in surrounding neighbours. Personally, I don’t want my taxes going towards expressive car-centric infra and encouraging driving.

In my city, all the people who are too problematic for the social housing get sent to this compound near the airport. So, they get to do their drunken shouting away from residential/commercial areas.

It’s kinda like a gated community with social workers and police on standby. Doesn’t work for every case but it seems perfect for a lot of the folks who end up there.

At least they are up front about not having a platform…

To be fair, flip phones prevent unwanted user input and protect the screen.

I still mourn Inbox, it was the best email experience I’ve ever had.
