discussed this question with my same aged friend and we kept going through things and realizing they'd already been remade or being like "yeah it was great at the time but that time sure has passed"

They slow down and spread out in the heat. Their fur becomes tumbleweeds throughout the house. They can be okay at higher temperatures, barring issues like age, ability, kinds of noses that prevent proper panting, etc. Before i turn the ac on, sometimes i'll see them spread out on the kitchen tile.

In addition to the fast turnaround of the quick-build projects, Chowdhury said several other factors have allowed the city to improve traffic safety. They include considering more factors when designing a street project, having more projects designed by DOMI rather than bidding out the work, and participating in the Vision Zero program that reviews every serious crash to see what steps can be taken to prevent similar accidents.

I'd never heard of Vision Zero before. What a useful project!

In response to the outcry, the president of the university's students' union, Muizz Olatunji, said on X that the university promoted "a dress-code policy aimed at maintaining a respectful and distraction-free environment, encouraging students to dress modestly and in line with the institution's values".

Who's getting that distraction free environment? The lady who has no say in the matter getting groped before an exam?

I'll probably never be totally sure (since i started treating my anxiety before i started thinking about these episodes, so i never described them to a shrink), but I believe I used to disassociate during my worst bouts of anxiety. I thought of them positively, because the incidents meant i wasn't having a panic attack, but they were just a different symptom of the same problem. My memories afterwards were vague or nonexistant. What I do recall is feeling slightly apart from myself the whole time and doing things on autopilot.

It also used to be a relief when a period of intense stress dulled into depression. Even if I still couldn't cope or do anything, at least I didn't feel anything, right?

None of that is really great, turns out. It wasn't that I'd gotten over my anxiety in the short term. It was just a new manifestation of it.

i used to be like "sometimes i get so anxious i kinda zone out and separate from myself a bit!" and thought this was great cause i could get more done but turns out it's not great actually to do that
