I tried that but couldn’t get the water to stay in…

…made a bit of a mess tbh…

Who(heh) doesn’t love a nice rich bowl of tootsie pop soup?

The Jolly Roger of the Straw Hat Pirates, a fictional group from One Piece, symbolizes freedom, friendship, and resistance to oppression in the anime.

I know nothing about One Piece. Is this accurate?

Nah - it just tastes clean and fresh to me…it’s refreshing

Snails are popular even in western culture and what is a snail but a slug with a backpack

Probably. I know it’s a pheromone and is much more concentrated in males making them more valuable/desired

My question for folks, though…:
When faced with eating a giant water bug for the first time, would you bite the head side first or the butt side first?

I struggled with this decision…

ETA: (for reference)

I’ve eaten a lot of pretty crazy stuff by western standards. The most challenging thing I have eaten was a giant water bug. The most challenging thing I haven’t been able to bring myself to eat was balut.

The water bug was definitely not the worst thing I’ve eaten though; it was unbelievably fragrant. Practically like eating perfume.

Why did they black out “Viril” too?

Tell that to my younger self when I first saw Veronica Rabbit

Jessica Rabbit?

I think the car keys are meant to imply drinking and driving.

I’m not sure what the white plastic lawn chair is meant to imply. Nor the forklift.

Excellent point; I should not have left that out.

Here’s all(most?) of the context:

Personally I contribute to/pay to support my instances and clients far more than development and I feel a bit guilty for that.

I’m just curious how everyone else who donates divvies up their contributions.

I’d love to be able to configure Tapestry, my feed reader, to open Lemmy posts in Voyager, but not sure where to start.

I was able to configure it to open Mastodon posts in Ivory but Ivory showed up as an option. I don’t know if that was a hard coded option or if maybe the app is registered as a Mastodon client with the OS somehow?

I think it might be underproofed and/or underbaked; it’s very dense, but it still tastes good with butter 😋

I put sourdough in quotes because the recipe also called for yeast on top of starter which seems odd.
