It could still be worthwhile, just not as your only option. Do your local archiving as well but having it uploaded elsewhere could come in handy if the shit hits the fan.

Peertube, Nebula, Patreon, etc. You don’t have to use YouTube.

It’s such a shit condition to have, especially as it goes on.

Most third-party apps don’t show ads which lessens the potential revenue for the first-party. Their idea is that by stopping these options, people will use the “official” methods which will allow serving of ads.

They’re now going back and upgrading it at a cost of even more dollars to get it to where it should’ve been ten years ago.

EZTV and EXT Torrents cover me alright. Nyaa.si for the anime side.

If I’m interacting with a business and then that business closes the method I’m using then fuck them I leave. I’ve done it with streaming services as my preferred devices have lost support through upgrades as well and I’ve done it at restaurants for forcing QR code menus.

Two of my three main subs have migrated over here including the whole family of one of them. And once I tried Lemmy I really liked it and support the concepts and philosophy.

So I’ll only go back to the old place to check in on that last main sub periodically until an alternative appears or I talk myself into creating it.

Maybe they can have pictures like the ciggies. Like a losing dog/horse at a track or a foreclosed home, maybe someone getting their fingers broken.

You can try looking at the archived version through Google if it’s a little bit older.

Two in a 24 hour period. Are they becoming more frequent? I like ABC’s content but their headlines are moronic at times.

This specific piece is there to inform people and there are a lot interested. Also will get a lot of clicks.

It’s a huge topic for pop culture and although a lot of stories don’t go too in-depth with it (although The Guardian did last week) it also has relevance as economic news.

And really, it’s nice to see something that’s not bad sprinkled in amongst the usual doom and gloom of the news.

Just on your niche stuff like 1930s movies, have you checked Internet Archive? I’ve been surprised at some of the stuff I’ve found.
