For the sake of graceful degredation, that's the whole point of the post

That'll happen AFTER she's released a bogus list of names

"advanced" no brother it's because the civilisation was white

Depending on the web app, the real solution would be a much more simplified JavaScript free version

Obviously, there are bad people in everything everywhere. That's why I said as a whole not ALL of them EVERYWHERE, like come on man, no offense meant, but use some context clues

The furry community is one of the most accepting and open minded communities because they understand what it's like to be treated as outcasts and to be chastised for liking something that's completely harmless just because it's out of the norm. Most of the time it's not even a sexual thing for them, it's just something they like or something that makes them feel more comfortable out in public. It's a way to make their exterior to be exactly what they want it to be. So in that way I think they're pretty cool as a whole.

Surprised I haven't seen Bazzite or Nobara recommended here, those are full desktop experiences with built in features for gaming. I use nobara because it has a version with pre-packaged Nvidia drivers.

+1 on Razer mice, I use the Razer naga pro and I love it, I HATE their software and open it as little as possible, but their mouse quality is pretty good for gaming.

I used to use Logitech, which has much better software in Windows and actually has 3rd party software that lets you customize buttons in Linux, but their switches on their mice go out so quickly. There is a known flaw with their switches and they don't fix it. IMO Logitech has lowered their quality quite a bit and still kept their prices the same. The last mouse I got from them basically deteriorated, like the side grips basically disintegrated from regular use, in half the time of the Logitech mouse before, and the only reason I replaced the other mouse was because the switches in it died.

I specifically got the Razer Naga pro because it's got optical switches that don't wear out in the same way.

And that's why accessibility is important

To be clear this has nothing to do with first amendment rights and everything to do with media censorship

Decriminalization is a wonderful thing

People say it feels like old reddit and it does to a degree, but in other ways it feels better!

People are so interested in finding alternatives to the systems that we hate, and actually are passionate about supporting those things and developing them into useable and enjoyable platforms.

People are interested in spreading the word about the importance of unions and the climate crisis. Idk if those posts just get squashed on reddit, but I've seen SO much more talk of workers rights and informing others about them.

It just gives me hope about the future for once. Like things are happening that are different, and I know that we can't be silenced here. This is a platform by the people, for the people, and that can't ever be fully taken away.

Just as the title says, I have two accounts on connect

On for sh.itjust.works, and one of lemmy.world

When I'm logged into the lemmy.world the sidebar opening especially lags way more than with the sh.itjust.works account

Edit: it appears to possibly be related to the number of subscriptions rendered in the list.

Before they load things seem to run more smoothly
