If you've blocked any domains, try unblocking them. Domain blocking is buggy and will hide random stuff from you.

I've got the photo post bug too, but it only seems to affect me on @anime_irl, while @animemes seems to still work fine.

Also, you posted this multiple times, may want to delete the other ones. Whenever you make a post, check the "newest" sort order to make sure it went through, and then upvote your own post to make sure it's visible for everyone on the default "hot" sort order.

I think especially Lemmy.ml should rather focus more on cleaning up their Tankie & moderator issues

As much as I would love to see it, I don't think the lead devs of lemmy, who own both lemmy.ml and lemmygrad.ml, are going to ban themselves.

What are you on about? Dessalines said "No, that is full of CSAM." I would like to know how they came to that conclusion.

[–] cacheson@kbin.social 8 points 2 years ago

OP is lying through their teeth, nothing was found.

[–] cacheson@kbin.social 12 points 2 years ago (2 children)

Literally any evidence at all beyond "dessalines said so" would be a good start. Hell, even dessalines specifically describing what he saw would be great.

I think it's more that tankies in general seem to have an oddly-specific hatred of anime fans. "CSAM" is just a convenient excuse here.

As the admin of ani.social, I genuinely feel heartbroken after what had happened. Not only do I feel like I’m doing a poor job of building ani.social but I also feel like I’ve disrespected the work of the Lemmy developers.

You shouldn't take this personally. The lead lemmy devs, nutomic and dessalines, are completely unhinged redfash. In addition to lemmy.ml, they also own lemmygrad.ml, the completely mask-off tankie instance. Tankies often have a weird hatred of anime fans, which is likely what inspired the defederation. In any case, they were never going to hear you out.

Nutomic and dessalines have a habit of engaging in this kind of self-marginalizing petty tyrant behavior, and many people avoid them and lemmy.ml because of their authoritarian, genocidal politics. While this is unfortunate overall, it does provide a fair amount of incentive to fork the project, and should provide a significant boost to any competent fork. Nutomic and dessalines aren't exactly brilliant programmers or project managers, and their presence is more of a hindrance than a help at this point.

Neo-Nazi Groups Are Attempting to Worm Their Way into Rallies Against the War on Gaza

That headline? Did you perhaps an entire word?

[–] cacheson@kbin.social 7 points 2 years ago (2 children)

And where would that be? Can you quote the paragraph you're talking about?

[–] cacheson@kbin.social 14 points 2 years ago (5 children)

the nazis are siding with the jews!

Where does it say that?

[–] cacheson@kbin.social 4 points 2 years ago

It's a pun, so more of a /j. I'm not sure how well it would work in French, since I'm very far from fluent.

Ah yes, English, the Lingua Franca.
