The list of "pull requests" for the kbin project is here. A developer makes a pull request when they've made some changes to their copy of the code, and are requesting that those same changes be made to the original main code of the project.

If you look at the list of "closed" pull requests, the ones with the purple icon are the ones that have been approved. This is a good way to check how active a project is.

Fair. A lot of people do have grievances with them.

Still, this community and meanwhileongrad account for a significant portion of the discussion about tankies, and would probably be worth it for you to block.

I mean, I guess, maybe? I think Marxism-Leninism is a fucked up ideology, but I don't categorically doubt the sincerity of MLs. They'd probably put any sudden windfall towards some sort of vanguard party centralized power bullshit that they think will eventually lead to communism, as is consistent with their ideas.

As an anarchist, I don't think that would be a good use of the money, but I don't have any particular reason to believe that they'd be more hypocritical about it than any other communist or leftist.

If I were tired of hearing about tankies, I wouldn't be participating in this community.

And their point is what, exactly? That they can't find the "Block Community" button?

If I understand correctly, their posts and comments to communities on other instances will still remain visible to you until your instance specifically blocks them. Hexbear won't talk directly talk to kbin, but will talk to lemm.ee, and lemm.ee will tell kbin about posts and comments that hexbear users have made on lemm.ee's communities.

I can appreciate the desire of modern communists to avoid a repeat of how things went with the USSR, China, etc. However, I don't think you can wholly repudiate the tankies as non-communist.

Surprisingly, complaining in a community about how tired you are of hearing about the subject of that community doesn't tend to play well.

They haven't whitelisted kbin, so you won't see their posts (edit: unless they're made to non-hexbear communities). Only their comments on other instances, and a fair number have blocked them at this point.

I'm starting to doubt your ability to identify anarchists.
