for topic based instances. I was just looking for an updated list the other day.

I've got a pretty good list here: https://kbin.social/m/specialized_instances/t/186667/Big-list-of-specialized-instances

You're not wrong, but I think there's some merit to repurposing bigoted memes to clown on bigots. r/antifastonetoss, for example.

Yep, it's two bugs. One is that it gives you an error even though the post was successful. The other is that new posts don't show up correctly in the default "hot" sort order. If you upvote your own post, that'll fix the sorting bug.

Yeah, we haven't had an update in a while. Apparently the next one is going to be pretty big. Ernest said he's aiming for the end of September, but I'm assuming that may slip.

We live in a society UwU

Yeah, that's true. And if it does manage to get popular enough, the mainstream mostly doesn't care about open source vs closed. A lot of potential early adopters will shun it though, which puts a big hurdle in the way.

Huh, hadn't heard of this one before. Unfortunately it looks like it's not open source, which is a dealbreaker for a lot of people, and p2p networks live and die by the network effect.
