This is the best baked tofu recipe I've ever found. It's the closest I've gotten to deep-fried taste without the mess.

Just made this. Added 1/4 cup nutritional yeast and probably roughly 1/4 cup extra vital wheat gluten I think. Also I let it rest for a full 45 minutes. Turned out great, easily shreddable! Looks just like the picture.

Next time I make this I'll just buy the crust, I think. I made the one in the recipe and it ended up melting at room temperature. I also didn't make the cookie butter drizzle. It doesn't really need it.

I tried this and it was good! Here's my feedback with it:

  • I don't think the rosemary or bay leaves do much. The vegan chicken bouillon overpowered a lot of the flavor of the fresh herbs so I think using the dried stuff would work fine in a recipe like this. I might try it again with a veggie broth instead and see if I can taste the fresh herbs better that way. I think I will also try it using dried herbs to see if this can be a good weeknight dish, since I don't usually have fresh sage and thyme in my fridge.
  • I added the juice of half a big lemon. I know most people use white wine but I didnt have any. I'll try that next time.

They do, this is fake

Not classified. Wouldn't surprise me if you could find improperly stored proprietary info if you scrolled long enough but not from the US gov. Maybe for some private company that didnt pay for an IT dept though. Also taking a look at the docs, they look fake as fuck.

There isn't evidence to support the idea that trans women perform better at sports than cis women anyway, but even if there was, this girl may not have even gone through testosterone based puberty to begin with since she's only in high school. She won through hard work and training. Good for her.

It's not too much, imo. Pretty standard amount of ingredients for a typical recipe. But every kitchen is different and if this is too much for you, that's okay. You could probably skip a few ingredients here like dried thyme.

Hope you like it! I love this recipe and have made it multiple times. It's so good with some sourdough toast!

It's a type of TVP from a manufacturer called Butler Foods. It's a very popular meat replacement for vegans. They have a similar texture to chicken so you typically rehydrate them in vegan chicken broth to prepare them for cooking. They're very good, but you could absolutely use a different type of TVP too. Soy curls aren't the cheapest TVP you can get.

That's why I get serranos instead

Not really. I avoid telling people unless it comes up because I don't want to be harassed or interrogated. I'm sure I'm not the only one who does that.

I'll be honest, the last couple times I've made this I just used canned and it came out fine and did well at a food gathering I brought it to. Canned works fine

An app that they already made an account for Biden on too lol

Tbh this recipe would probably taste better if you deep fried it at the end instead of air frying it. But it probably tastes good enough with an air fryer and air fryers are way, way easier to deal with than any kind of deep fryer, so you may find it worth it for that reason. Air fryers are basically like table top ovens that are faster to heat up since they're smaller, so as long as you think of them that way and not as fryers, then you're good. You can probably do this recipe in a regular oven with an adjustment to the cooking time too.
