With Germany probably being swayed this time, what makes you so sure?

gotta admit, I haven’t worked out that part fully yet, but there’s probably multiple layers. What you describe inherent in police and mafia, is a different kind of morality, an honour code, it can be contrary to the general morality, I’d say. And the aristocracy, or people completely beyond the law, they can make it up as they go along.

it’s art, good enough. The other stuff needs organising

Morality is something a class society continuously reproduces to manage the contradictions it faces on a day to day basis. It’s a fabric that gives you that guilty feeling when you’re not practicing the same self control the rest of society exercises and demands. A lot of control is regulated by law of course, then guilt becomes more than just a feeling. But many things don’t need to be dealt with by the legislature: you comply because you don’t want to be a social outcast.

At the top, it’s a bit different, they don’t need that kind of voluntary self control. Often, this becomes admired by those who see themselves as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

My thoughts:

When sanctions are lifted it wouldn't stop capital outflow, which can be controlled by the state anytime. Only capital inflow might increase, which wouldn't damage Putin's regime, it’s something Russia actually craves for. Also, Putin has continuously shown he wants to have sanctions lifted. A war or conflict with NATO on the other hand would never consolidate Putin's power, how could it?

Of course I am asking you.

But I am not sure if I am getting this right: You think the outflow of capital would be so disastrous for Putin’s power that he’d try to stop it by testing NATO? Because then he’d get sanctions again, which would stop the outflow? Or at least that’d be his intention?

Can you explain why Putin would do that?

Edit: Outrageous to ask such a subversive question, Jeez

Feels like everything that’s happening lately is being treated like it’s the weather. There’s forecasts but in the end it’s non negotiable.

Ah cool, I hope it explains my many, many questions

Times are desperate. And the only way out is to come up with more ways to exploit ourselves.

Die Antwort meines CSU MdBs:

Sehr geehrter Herr ####,

####, MdB
