Took me far too long to realize that there is a kids version of the kindle that you were talking about, and that you weren't just referring to other users as kids.
What got you into Linux?
Absolutely the same for me.
I have never, to my recollection, needed a large but niche packet that isn't either clearly reputable (wisdom of the masses) or verified by someone who's reputation is crucial (e.g. Microsoft).
I have on on many occasions used a small niche package though that was just a time saver. Something where I could either invest significant time in rolling my own solution out, or spend considerably less time checking out a small repo.
Monkeys paw: It activates at 1am and throws off your sleep cycle for a couple of days.
I've played the hell out of this game, and long been a fan of the developer's articles on game development. He's pretty active on the Reddit roguelike development sub (one of which hasn't really sprung up on Lemmy yet, as far as I can tell).
Done :)
Fair enough. Certainly I can manage three at the current activity levels, and I'm more than happy to be helping out a bit. Thanks.
There isn't, but there is !learn_programming@programming.dev. Given the current size of the instance and the community though, questions should be absolutely fine here in this community for the time being.
I've already volunteered for two other subs, so tell me if I'm overdoing it, but I'd also be very happy to help moderate this community. I'm specifically interested in this one as I plan to develop some bots and moderation tools over the next few months.
I'd happily help mod this one.
programming.dev/c/learn_programming would also be a good fit for this.
I hope to never come in close proximity to your feet.
