Your point is valid, but you forgot "jury box": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Four_boxes_of_liberty

I suppose we'll give it a try in a year. I do think leftists, including myself, should admit and prepare that they might need to violently resist The State tho.

I know I'm outnumbered by conservatives in my area. And, while they might not voluntarily admit to bigotry, they do strongly believe in a hierarchy of power, and that failing to be obedient to a higher authority is justification for any punishment you (not them!) receive. They also believe that the laws should reflect "Biblical" teachings and that "The Church" (their church, not those Catholic "idol worshipers") should be involved in health care, education, and the work place not just reflected in the laws.

They also tend to own guns and know how to use them, but that somewhat depends on their income. It's an outsized spend, but when you are on food stamps, you aren't also stockpiling ammo or acquiring more guns.

Depends on the progressive, I'd say. But, they are certainly more willing to, so I might have been better to leave that adjective out of my comment.

This [FPTP] is the weapon of the enemy, we do NOT (need to) USE it.

Any Condorcet method would yield a significant improvement in representation accuracy, but it would trigger one heck of a party re-alignment.

While I know not everyone can afford it, 404 media is a news source without corporate bias, so you might want to toss them a coin.

I don't trust the current administration to do it without building in grift and corruption. Bernie at least wanted to make it somewhat easier to bank with post office banking and free-of-cost savings accounts.

ACH has problems, but not enough to justify giving online banking credentials to a third-party.

Yeah. It would be nice for the U.S. banking system to get updated to have the same capabilities the populace in other nations have. I don't trust the current administration to do it without baking in massive grift and corruption. But, I don't see the banks doing it themselves, individually or in blocks.

We have dumb things like Zelle, Venmo, and CashApp that are entirely unnecessary in proper countries but banks are invested in and profit from them. Also, this way they can tie customers down with a TOS that would clearly be against banking regulations if any of these service was "a bank".

As far as I know yes.

But, D congresspersons rarely speak against party leadership.

I still think she's insane, but I wish we had more progressive, D congresspersons that had this attitude of serving The People instead of the DNC.

Modern society is different, for better or worse, and it makes no sense to just throw open the gates and have anyone come in.

Do you have evidence for this claim?

"What can be asserted without evidence can also be dismissed without evidence." -- Hitchens' Raxor

I don’t mind reserving certain things for citizens.

The vast majority of benefits or restrictions we have The State provide or enforce should be for all individuals.

In any case, citizenship can be queried at the point of receipt of those rare things, if for some reason we do need to restrict those things to citizens.
