WOAH what a thing to come out of one's mouth. Like...abusers always have mountains of justifications but something like this...it seems like it's gotta cut through all the delusion...that's not a thing a good person can feel, let alone say! Like...realizing you feel that way about someone should be a huge wakeup call that you're a monster and need to do some serious work on yourself. Saying it out loud...wowee

until something changes tangibly

And you think the democrats will do that? lol

The obvious answer to people not being willing to vote for shitty and evil democrats is not to whine at those people (because, dont you know, the republicans are 20% more shitty and 5% more evil!), it’s for the democrats to stop being shitty and evil. They have the power in this relationship. They would rather lose than stop being shitty and evil, and you’re saying “help them win anyway” and that’s just ridiculous.

e: I realized maybe you’re not doing that. I’m not trying to criticize your choice to vote for democrats. That’s your business, and none of mine! I’m trying to say “stop criticizing people for not voting for democrats when democrats will do absolutely nothing to help the situation in any meaningful way”

This either is a mediocre joke, and not true…or it is true but their idea of “high net worth” is owning a small town hardware store lol

Naw it’s not one sided, you just didn’t hear about the guy who got banned for accusing 4 people of being CIA agents.

Should not be surprised you’re a rad one, violet08!

I think another bit of context is that it was used as sort of Palestinian flag stand-in emoji when there wasn’t a Palestinian flag emoji

Hey folks,

just in the last few days I've really become very interested (probably one of those ADHD micro-obsessions) with trying to play a MUD or MUSH. I'm a long-time tabletop RPG GM, and I've been diving into retro games lately. It feels like it should be right up my alley!

That said, I haven't had a great experience with my first little foray. I've had some software issues accessing some of them, and others are simply dead. It sounds like Gemstone IV is super popular, but I don't want to jump into a neutered experience (and I certainly don't want to pay to play from the outset!).

I'm hoping to try a few more, but it would be great if anyone has: (a) specific ones that they think are still great, so that I can feel more sure that it's worth the trouble of getting set up on and used to a specific MUD. (b) advice about getting started!

Thanks for any input! =)
