I only played 1 and the very beginning of 2. First one had that weird brawler/edgy Legend of Zelda mix that kinda filled a void at the time for me. It was not incredible, but it was well made and fun.

Now that I think about it, it was around the time I got a 360 because Nintendo had nothing to release for a while, and among a few other games, I got Bayonetta, this and Lords of Shadow. That was a very brawly period in my library.

Not sure why I didn't get far in 2. I got it on Wii U, in a bundle if I remember correctly. I mostly remember a very dark and rocky starting area that must not have caught my interest.

Well, it was the only switch 2 game. Bananza is actually pretty cool.

You overestimate LoZ's popularity and underestimate Mario Kart's. Not even those two particular entries, but in general. And I say that despite being a sucker for both the LoZ series and the less conventional BotW/TotK.

BotW sold a lot for a Zelda game and even then it sold a lot less than Mario Kart 8 DX (despite it being a port of an older game).

My take though? I got the bundle mostly because I expected better from MK World. It's not a complete dud, but I would agree it's rather underwhelming. MK8 is still my favourite and I would never consider it "a boring racing game" in any way.

It would be way more useful on NES (and Game Boy) because some idiot decided Switch B was NES B and Switch Y was... nothing at all.

That's not how thumbs work. You can't have your thumb rest on both Switch B and A like you could on a NES (or GB) B and A, the orientation is wrong for that.

On a SNES button pattern, you've got two diagonals, B-Y and A-X, with B-Y being the important default, natural one and A-X the alternative options for which you slide up with your thumb.

At least A-X works on switch online NES, but B-Y should too. They're the basic button pair everything else uses.

Pour moi c'était encore les débuts de la JAPD mais j'ai pas eu ça. Juste un test de lecture ultra-basique et toute une journée de blabla autour de "pourquoi l'armée c'est cool alors engagez-vous".

Still needing an excuse to fire more people?

Not sure I care about who will win that one, but if Sony can prove ~~tenc~~ $0.10 actually came to them to get a Horizon licence, only to release "can't believe it's not Horizon" shortly after not getting it, that would be quite the smoking gun.

It's basically a proof that looking as similar as possible was their intention all along.

I've been too nice playing through Overlord. A game about a Sauron-like evil overlord.

There's a special ending cinematic when you do so, the game's disrespecting you quite a bit.

Especially since switch 1 games are emulated on 2, and they're still working on it to get the few incompatible games to run. A firmware update a week ago fixed Crypt of the Necrodancer that was unplayable on 2 until then.

Not very surprising that changes in the emulation software might break other stuff. As long as they fix those quickly, I prefer they keep working toward 100% backward compatibility.

Of all the things I didn't expect to learn about Olive Oyl...

I kinda want to check something on AO3 right now.

My favourite (inconsequential, but incredibly stupid) automatic AI question/answer from Google :

I was looking for German playwright Brecht's first name. The answer was Bertolt. It's a pretty simple question, so that at least was correct.

However, among the initial "frequently asked questions", one was "What is the name of the Armored Titan?"

Somehow Google decided it would randomly answer a question about manga/anime Attack on Titan in there. The only link between that question and my query is the answer, Bertolt (so of course, it wasn't in my query). Because there's a guy called Bertolt too in that story.

By the way, Attack on Titan's Bertolt is not the armoured titan.

I think this is a bug? I read that this apparently happened to some people with some previous expedition reward ships, but it's the first I've seen it. Steam version.

When I tried to claim the ship, my only claim option was to buy it for 1400 nanites. I hadn't that much left, I basically spent all my nanites on minotaur AI and upgrades (because fuck having to fight yourself in this game). Since I couldn't buy, I had a warning I would not be able to claim it later, and even though I cancelled, while I was trying to farm for nanites that game switched to normal save and I couldn't claim anymore (even from Anomaly).

I've confirmed in another save that the reward is available, but since I don't have that much nanites, I haven't try claiming yet, just in case it got eaten up again.
